A retired teacher lived in this Oregon City ranch for over 30 years. He built model trains in the basement and had a woodshop in the detached garage. The house is full of books, Oregon history maps, and furniture from the 1960s that's held up better than most of what you'd buy new today.

What to expect

The basement has an HO-scale train layout on a 4x8 table with rolling stock, buildings, and landscaping. The garage has a lathe, drill press, and a wall of chisels and hand planes. Upstairs, the living room has a walnut credenza, a pair of armchairs, and shelves of Pacific Northwest history books. Kitchen has a full set of Corelle dishes and a collection of Pendleton mugs.
